About Global Credit Union Arena
Global Credit Union Arena, first named GCU Arena, serves Phoenix, Arizona as a multi-purpose venue for entertainment and athletics. Grand Canyon University owns and runs it. The arena seats 7,000 and covers 135,000 square feet (12,500 m2). Both the men's and the women's basketball and volleyball teams of the university's Lopes call it home.
The arena opened on September 2, 2011, 15 months after the project was announced by the university, as part of a $200 million campus expansion. The design came from 360 Architecture and the Tempe-based firm Architekton. After closing on March 3, 2014 for a major remodel, it grew from 5,000 to 7,000 seats, a change aimed mainly at fitting men's basketball games and larger concerts.
Features include Bibles buried in a vault at center court, ceiling beams signed by university employees and students, large windows for natural light, and an outdoor balcony overlooking the Camelback Road campus. Only 42 steps lead from the event level to the concourse level. The venue hosts concerts, speaking engagements and commencement ceremonies, and in 2012 it staged the TNA Wrestling pay-per-view Bound for Glory.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Wide flat roof
- The roof is a large flat plane with a few small rooftop boxes, and the angled glazing along its long sides is the finest detail. Use a layer height of 0.12-0.16 mm and a larger print to keep the angled bays sharp.
- One piece with the ground
- Global Credit Union Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Global Credit Union Arena takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Global Credit Union Arena is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a Global Credit Union Arena STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Global Credit Union Arena grows with the print: about 6 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
