Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Arrowhead roof tips

The roof's two shallow arrowhead projections end in thin unsupported tips. Print friendly adapts those tips to the print scale; Full detail and a larger print keep their shape.

  2. Folded entrance canopy

A folded fan canopy projects over the entrance on a single column. Print it larger, or at 0.12–0.16 mm layers, so the open underside and thin edge stay crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Hawke's Bay Airport Terminal is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Hawke's Bay Airport Terminal takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Hawke's Bay Airport Terminal

The Hawke's Bay Airport Terminal stands at 111 Main North Road in Napier, New Zealand. A new terminal opened in August 2021 after delays caused by Covid-19, following an upgrade that added large extensions at the north and south ends of the existing building. The design was a collaboration between Mauvan Scott Architects and Designgroup Stapleton Elliot.

The terminal covers 4,340 m². Most of its facilities are on the ground floor, while the Regional Lounge of Air New Zealand sits on the first floor. The design takes inspiration from the kuaka, the bar-tailed godwit, in flight, and the building reached final completion in November 2021.
