About Hazza bin Zayed Stadium
Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, a multi-purpose venue, stands in Al-Ain, a city in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Al-Ain FC, a UAE Pro-League club, calls it home. It opened in 2014 and was named for the club's chairman, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed. The site lies about 150 kilometers (93 miles) from Abu Dhabi to the east, near the Omani border. Its 45,000 square meters (480,000 sq ft) are divided across seven levels, and it is cited as among the Middle East's most modern sporting venues.
The outer facade is the most characteristic feature: fabric elements that resemble a palm trunk and can be lit with LEDs in 15 different modes. The roof, shaped like a palm bowl, is designed so that matches can be played in shade after 5pm, and 200 floodlights on top light evening games. Inside, the roof shows the complex geometry of cantilevered steel trusses, made with robotic cutting and welding. The stadium is described as the first in the world with a parasol roof meant to shade every fan.
London-based BDP Pattern served as the architects, and the stadium was built to FIFA standards. BAM, the builder, also added a six-story office building, a sports hall, and outdoor works covering roads, parking, playing pitches and landscaping. The stadium earned the vote for Stadium of the Year 2014. It staged the FIFA Club World Cups of 2017 and 2018, along with eight matches at the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, among them a Round of 16 match, a quarter-final and a semi-final.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Diamond-patterned outer wall
- The outer wall is covered in small diamond-shaped panels. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every panel on a larger print or with a fine nozzle.
- A thin sweeping roof ring
- The roof ring and the slim trusses beneath it are delicate. A larger print size keeps them sturdier, and printing slowly with good cooling helps the thin edges.
- One piece with the ground
- Hazza bin Zayed Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Hazza bin Zayed Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
