Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Ornate crown and open arches

The crown flares into muqarnas tiers above sixteen open arches. Print friendly keeps the recessed cells and arch openings readable; larger prints preserve the brick bands.

  2. Tapered brick shaft

The round shaft narrows from a broad foot to a slim neck. A 0.12–0.16 mm layer height helps the fine stringcourses and gallery rails.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Kalyan Minaret is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Kalyan Minaret takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Kalyan Minaret

The Kalyan Minaret is a brick tower in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, which belongs to the Po-i-Kalyan mosque complex. It rises 45.6 meters (150 ft), or 48 meters including its point, and tapers from 9 meters (30 ft) across at the base to 6 meters (20 ft) near the top. A brick spiral staircase winds up inside the shaft to the rotunda.

Bako designed the minaret, which the Qarakhanid ruler Mohammad Arslan Khan built in 1127 on the site of an earlier tower. It was used to call the faithful to prayer five times each day. Its brickwork is arranged in straight and diagonal ornamental bands, and the frieze carries blue-glazed inscriptions.

In wartime the tower served as a watchtower. About a century after it was built, Genghis Khan ordered it spared while the surrounding city was destroyed. It also earned the name Tower of Death: criminals were thrown from its gallery until the early twentieth century.
