7 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Cone-roofed tower and balcony
The round tower ends in a pointed cone and has a railed balcony. Print friendly adapts the thin rails and the tip to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- Dormers and chimneys
Small dormers and slim chimneys stud the steep roof. A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm keeps these small shapes crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Krueger Mansion is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Krueger Mansion takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Krueger Mansion
The Krueger Mansion is in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, at Court and High Streets. Brewer Gottfried Krueger, who founded the Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company in Newark and owned several other breweries, had the 40-room house built in 1888, at a cost of $250,000 at the time.
The mansion rises three and a half stories in the Late Victorian style, and its circular tower is five stories high. The Queen Anne style shows in the steeply pitched roof, an asymmetrical facade, a wrap-around porch and an arched entry, while its pedimented windows show an Italianate influence. Its frame is balloon-style construction, finished with a brick facade.
In 1926, the house was sold to the Scottish Rite Freemasons of the Valley of Newark, who added a 700-seat auditorium. Louise Scott purchased it in 1958 and ran a beauty school on the first floor. Its listing on the National Register of Historic Places came on November 9, 1972. Late in 2020, the city and Makerhoods, a company, started refurbishing it as live/work spaces for local makers.
