8 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Courtyards inside the wings
Several wings wrap open courtyards, with many rows of windows. Print friendly adapts small details to the print scale; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print.
- One piece with the ground
Weequahic High School is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Weequahic High School takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Weequahic High School
Weequahic High School is a public school for grades nine through twelve, serving the Weequahic neighborhood of Newark, in Essex County, New Jersey. Newark Public Schools operates it from 279 Chancellor Avenue. It is a four-year comprehensive high school. Middle States Association accreditation dates from 1935.
The building was finished in 1932, and the first classes started in September 1933. The first principal, Max J. Herzberg, led the school for 18 years, until he retired in 1951. The building holds a New Deal-era mural called "Enlightenment of Man" by Michael Lenson, who directed mural activities in New Jersey for the Federal Art Project.
In The Plot Against America and the miniseries made from that book, alumnus Philip Roth describes the Weequahic neighborhood of the 1930s and early 1940s. The 2009 documentary Heart of Stone follows Ron Stone, a former principal. In 2024 the school earned a place on historic registers at the state and national levels.
