About Kyocera Dome Osaka

Kyocera Dome Osaka, officially called the Osaka Dome, is a baseball stadium in Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It opened in 1997, and Nikken Sekkei designed it. When it opened it became home to the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes, who had earlier played at Fujiidera Stadium. The Orix Buffaloes, formed by the merger of the Orix BlueWave and the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes, made it one of their homes in 2005.

The Hanshin Tigers use the dome as their home field in two periods: season openers and August home games. Their own ground, Koshien Stadium, is in use then for high school baseball tournaments. The dome also hosted two mixed martial arts events from the Pride series, Total Elimination 2005 and Total Elimination Absolute. Kyocera Document Solutions, a subsidiary of Kyocera Corporation, began advertising at the dome in April 2003. The Osaka City Dome Company offered naming rights in January 2006, and Kyocera secured them on March 2, 2006. The contract was delayed until July 1 because of a reorganization of the Dome Company, and it was originally for five years.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes

200 mm 28 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 36 mm 1:2,344

Wavy roof ring and panel lines
A wavy roof ring surrounds the central dome, and both carry many panel lines. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the curves smooth, and a larger print keeps the panel lines readable.
Slim ribs and open gaps
The lower walls carry rows of slim ribs, with open gaps and ramps showing under the roof. Print friendly adapts thin parts like these to your print scale; Full detail keeps them.
One piece with the ground
Kyocera Dome Osaka is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Kyocera Dome Osaka takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
