11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Ornate front facade
The narrow front end carries small towers and carved detail, while the auditorium behind it is a plain, wide block. Print friendly adapts the small ornament to the print scale; Full detail keeps it on larger prints.
- Wide auditorium roof
The large auditorium roof is broad. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps the roof edges and front detail crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Loew's Jersey Theatre is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Loew's Jersey Theatre takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Loew's Jersey Theatre
Loew's Jersey Theatre is a venue for films and live performances at 54 Journal Square, Jersey City, New Jersey. Rapp and Rapp designed it as a movie palace. Its doors opened on September 28, 1929, and it counted among five Loew's Wonder Theatres around New York City, the only one of them located beyond New York City proper. The style is variously described as Spanish Baroque or Italian rococo.
The building has two parts, a lobby section and an auditorium. The lobby end is faced in ornate terracotta and has a marquee, a mechanical clock by Seth Thomas, and a sculpture showing Saint George and a fire-breathing dragon in combat. The auditorium seats at least 3,021 people across two levels, and its proscenium arch, walls and ceilings are richly decorated. The Robert Morton Organ Company made a theater pipe organ for the Wonder Theatres.
The theater originally presented films and live shows, though the live shows ended in 1935. In 1974 it was divided into a triplex cinema, and it closed in August 1986 after a company acquired it intending to demolish it. Jersey City's government bought the theater in 1993, and Friends of the Loew's, formed by preservation supporters, began restoring it. It partially reopened for performances in 2001. It appears on both the New Jersey and National registers of historic places.
