About 101 Hudson Street

101 Hudson Street, also called the Merrill Lynch Building, stands in Jersey City, New Jersey, in the Exchange Place neighborhood. Finished in 1992, it rises 42 stories, 167 meters (548 feet) high. By height it ranks seventh among Jersey City buildings and sixth among those in New Jersey. The architects were Brennan Beer Gorman / Architects LLP.

Until 30 Hudson Street was finished in 2004, it was the runner-up in height among New Jersey buildings, behind the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort. The tower's upper floors look east to Manhattan with a clear view. Some views to the south take in the Statue of Liberty and New York Bay, and others take in 30 Hudson Street and the pair of residential high rises known as Hudson Greene. The building also has several nesting sites for Peregrine Falcons, and a state wildlife division maintains a Peregrine Cam at some of them.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Stepped crown and ribbed walls
The tower tapers in steps toward a notched crown, and the walls carry fine vertical ribs. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the ribbing crisp; Print friendly adapts the thinnest ribs on small prints.
One piece with the ground
101 Hudson Street is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. 101 Hudson Street takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a 101 Hudson Street STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. 101 Hudson Street grows with the print: about 45 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?
