About MetLife Stadium
Located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, 8 km (five miles) west of New York City, MetLife Stadium is a multi-purpose venue within the Meadowlands Sports Complex. It opened in 2010 as the replacement for Giants Stadium and is shared by two NFL teams, the New York Giants and the New York Jets. It cost roughly $1.6 billion, which was more than any other stadium built in the U.S. up to that point. Its capacity of more than 82,000 makes it the biggest venue in the NFL.
The architects had to design a neutral stadium that still reflected both franchises. The Giants wanted a traditional look with exposed steel and textured stone; the Jets wanted something sleek and modern in metal and glass. They drew on the column and tower dynamic of Manhattan skyscrapers. Limestone-like stonework covers the base of the facade, and the rest is wrapped in glass and aluminum louvers, with interior lighting that switches to blue for the Giants or green for the Jets. The total linear length of the louvers is exactly 50,000 m (50 km).
Unlike many other new NFL venues, the stadium has no roof, because proposals for one failed over a dispute about funding. Seating for 82,500 includes 10,005 club seats and about 218 luxury suites, and no other NFL stadium seats more people in total. A solar ring of 1,350 photovoltaic panels, installed in 2012, runs along the upper rim and can display team colors. Super Bowl XLVIII was played there in February 2014.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 650 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 14 mm | 1:4,063 |
| 200 mm | 17 mm | 1:3,250 |

- Many thin seating tiers
- The bowl is built from many thin stacked tiers, which show as fine ridges. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep them distinct; Print friendly adapts the finest ridges to the print scale, and Full detail keeps them on larger prints.
- Open top, ribbed outer wall
- The bowl has no roof, so it reads best from an angle or from above. The outer wall carries fine horizontal ribs, which a larger print size renders more clearly.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. MetLife Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
MetLife Stadium is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there a MetLife Stadium STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. MetLife Stadium grows with the print: about 14 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
