Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Open lattice frame and curved ramp

A lattice-like frame at the front and a long curved ramp are thin, open parts of this model. Print friendly adapts them to your print scale; Full detail keeps every member, which suits a larger print.

  2. Low, wide footprint

The building spreads out low and wide, so a larger print size helps the small features on its angular blocks survive.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Nelson Fine Arts Center is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Nelson Fine Arts Center takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Nelson Fine Arts Center

The Nelson Fine Arts Center is the principal gallery building of Arizona State University's art museum, on the university's main campus in Tempe, Arizona. Architect Antoine Predock designed it. The museum moved into the newly finished building in April 1989.

The center measures 49,700 square feet, or 4,620 m2. It holds five galleries along with administrative offices and areas for storage and processing. After the move, the museum's staff doubled in size, adding a curator of education, a manager for the print collection and several administrative and security staff.

The museum's art collection dates to 1950, when Oliver B. James, a Phoenix lawyer, donated 16 oil paintings by American painters to the university. Its main areas of focus are contemporary art; crafts, especially American ceramics; prints, both historic and contemporary; and work from Arizona and the Southwestern U.S.
