98 m of the New Town Hall (Hanover), 26 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Height collects at the dome
The building rises to a tall dome, the part most easily lost on a small print. Print larger, use 0.12–0.16 mm layers, and slow the print near the top.
- One piece with the ground
The New Town Hall (Hanover) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The New Town Hall (Hanover) takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the New Town Hall (Hanover)
Hanover's New Town Hall opened on June 20, 1913, the end of 12 years of construction. It has a castle-like, eclectic character and dates from the era of Wilhelm II, sitting at the inner city's southern edge, just beyond the historic center, within the Maschpark, a 10-hectare (25-acre) park.
The cost was 10 million marks, and 6,026 beech piles support the structure; Hermann Eggert and Gustav Halmhuber were the architects. It took over from the Wangenheim Palace as the city's main administrative seat. Bombing raids on the inner city damaged it in World War II; in 1946 Lower Saxony was proclaimed in a hall 38 meters (125 ft) high. On the ground floor stand four models of Hanover.
An observation platform tops the dome at 97.73 meters (320.6 ft). The lift serving it is described as unique in the world: its path curves in an arch that mirrors the dome's parabolic profile. It rises through a 50-meter (160 ft) shaft at up to 17° to reach the gallery, and winter 2007–08 brought a new lift.
