109 m of the Nieuwe Kerk (Delft), 29 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tall tower, thin spire
The tower is tall and narrow, with a spire above it. Print it larger so the spire stays sharp, or choose Full detail for a fine nozzle; slow the print near the top.
- One piece with the ground
The Nieuwe Kerk (Delft) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Nieuwe Kerk (Delft) takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Nieuwe Kerk (Delft)
The Nieuwe Kerk is a Protestant church in Delft, in the Netherlands; its name means New Church. It stands on Delft Market Square, opposite the City Hall. The church was formerly the church of St Ursula, which dates from the 14th century. Its tower went up between 1396 and 1496 under Jacob van der Borch, the builder also responsible for Utrecht's Domtoren.
William the Silent was entombed in the church in 1584, in a mausoleum by Hendrick and Pieter de Keyser. The House of Orange-Nassau has used the royal crypt for burials since then; the last were Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard in 2004. The crypt is private and not open to the public. The tower's present spire dates from 1872 and was designed by Pierre Cuypers; only Utrecht's Domtoren is taller in the Netherlands.
The mechanical clock has 18 bells by Francois Hemony from 1659, and the tower holds a bell from 1662 with a diameter of 104 centimeters. The church also has the tomb of Hugo Grotius, who was born in Delft in 1583. In the Delft Thunderclap of 1645, a gunpowder explosion destroyed much of the city and blew the roof off the church.
