Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Low, wide island footprint

A broad, low fort leaves little height for detail, so the moat, parapet and glacis are where it shows. A larger print shows those layers best, with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers for their edges.

  2. One piece with the ground

Pampus is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Pampus takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Pampus

Pampus is a sea fort of the late 19th century, raised on an artificial island in the IJmeer near Amsterdam, in the municipality of Gooise Meren. Along with a battery near Durgerdam and another at the Diemer seawall, it guarded the approach to IJ Bay and to the harbor of Amsterdam. The fort belonged to the Defence Line of Amsterdam, and in 1996 UNESCO made the whole line a World Heritage Site, including its 42 forts.

The island was raised on the Pampus sandbank in what was then the Zuiderzee. Work began in 1887, and the Dutch took eight years to build the fort, sinking 3,800 piles and importing 45 thousand cubic meters of sand. Brick and concrete make up the fort, which has an oval plan, and its main building has three floors. The ground floor held the kitchen, laundry, troops' quarters, two steam engines of 20 hp fired by coal, dynamos, a telegraph, a first aid station and magazines.

The building sits inside a dry moat eight meters wide. On the north and south sides, tunnels connect the ground floor to a concrete counterscarp that held a jail, a forge and supply rooms, with a parapet on top for close defense and a large glacis around the whole fort. The fort was commissioned in 1895 and armed with four Krupp 24 cm guns. It is open to visitors.

About this model

Pampus is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release.
