11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 800 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Corner turrets and roof ridges
The model is a long ring of palace wings around courtyards, with small turrets on its corners. Print friendly adapts those turrets to the print scale; a larger print and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep the roof ridges sharp.
- Long range of roofs and courtyards
The castle stretches across its site, with many separate roof planes and courtyards. A larger print keeps the roof shapes and small roof details readable; print slowly where the walls are tall and thin.
- One piece with the ground
Prague Castle is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Prague Castle takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Prague Castle
Prague Castle is a castle complex in Prague, Czechia. The president of the Czech Republic has an official residence and workplace there, and the site has served as a seat of power for Holy Roman emperors, the kings of Bohemia and presidents of Czechoslovakia. Its history began in the 9th century. The Bohemian Crown Jewels are kept in a hidden room within it.
By the count of the Guinness Book of Records, no ancient castle in the world is larger. The complex covers almost 70,000 square meters (750,000 sq ft), runs about 570 meters (1,870 ft) long and averages about 130 meters (430 ft) across. Its buildings gather a Gothic cathedral, a Romanesque basilica, a monastery, palaces, gardens and defense towers, and represent many styles from the past millennium.
The Church of the Virgin Mary, the first walled building, went up in 870. Charles IV rebuilt the royal palace in Gothic style during the 14th century and started the vast church of St. Vitus, completed in 1929 after almost six centuries. A large fire destroyed much of the castle in 1541, and Empress Maria Theresa carried out the last major rebuilding during the latter half of the 18th century.
