Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Sloping crown and lifts
The tower ends in an asymmetric sloping crown beside tall faceted lift shafts. Print slowly with cooling for the sharp upper edges, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the crown framing clean.
- Curtain-wall grid
A dense grid of mullions and transoms wraps the slab and narrow ends. Full detail at a larger size preserves the repeated facade relief; Print friendly adapts the finest members to the print scale.
- One piece with the ground
The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo
The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo, formerly the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel and known locally as Oslo Plaza, stands in Oslo city center. At 117 meters (384 ft), it is the tallest building in Oslo and the third tallest in Norway. The White Arkitekter firm designed it, and the building was completed in 1989. King Olav V officially opened the hotel on March 14, 1990.
Its 37 floors contain 678 rooms and 1,500 beds, with 140 business rooms and 20 suites. It has concrete foundations and reflective glass facades, and the top floors taper into a skillion roof: a steep diagonal surface on one side that ends in a sharp ridge. A three-story lower block holds the entrance, lobby, bar, restaurant, breakfast room and conference rooms, including the Sonja Henie Ballroom.
The hotel was remodeled in 2012. Its upper floors hold a fine-dining restaurant and bar, a second, more traditional restaurant with views of the Oslofjord, a sauna, a swimming pool and a gym set into the tapered roof. An external glass elevator carries the public up to the bar and restaurant.
