Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Tiled hip roofs
Ribbed hip roofs cover every wing, and thin arcade columns line the courtyard side. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the roof courses crisp; a larger print or Full detail keeps the slender columns.
- One piece with the ground
The Royal Palms Resort and Spa is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Royal Palms Resort and Spa takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Royal Palms Resort and Spa
The Royal Palms Resort and Spa, a historic hotel, is in Phoenix, Arizona. It dates from 1929, when it was built in the Spanish Colonial style as a retirement home for the New York businessman Delos Cooke and his wife; Cooke died unexpectedly in 1931. Hotel operations began in 1948. The Historic Hotels of America program, run by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, counts the hotel as a member.
The mahogany front doors are original, as are the 24 tiles in the archways of the Mansion Courtyard, each representing a Spanish province. Another feature is a nearly one-of-a-kind Spanish tile mural, the "Lady of Spain", which was imported. The grounds hold 193 palm trees in 14 varieties, along with 24 fountains, and the building has 73 fireplaces, some inside guest rooms. Sunstroke, a 1992 TV movie starring Don Ameche and Jane Seymour, was shot at the resort.
