About the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, known as SMoCA, is located in downtown Scottsdale, Arizona, in the district called Old Town. Its focus is contemporary art, design and architecture. Its five galleries show exhibitions curated from a growing permanent collection and from rotating shows. A skyspace by Arizona artist James Turrell, called Knight Rise, is on permanent view.
The idea for SMoCA dates to 1988, and the museum opened in February 1999. Will Bruder, an architect based in Phoenix, completely retrofitted a former movie theater into its minimalist building. Scottsdale Arts, a non-profit corporation, runs the museum for the city. Olafur Eliasson, Mel Roman, Squidsoup, Paolo Soleri, James Marshall and Lydia Okumura are among the artists featured in its major exhibitions.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

| 200 mm | 3 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Curved front with thin fins
- The curved front is lined with thin vertical fins. Print friendly adapts them to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print with 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers.
- Round drum with an open top
- A round drum with a circular opening at the top stands at a corner of the building. A larger print keeps the opening crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
