83 m of Sacré-Cœur Basilica, 24 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Keep the small dome tips
Small turrets and slender tips surround the main dome. Use Print friendly to adapt them to the print scale, or choose a larger print with Full detail to preserve every modeled feature.
- Refine the tower and arches
The tall rear tower has an open arch beneath its pointed roof, and the entrance has smaller arches. Use a slicer layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm for these details, and print slowly with cooling for the thin roof tip.
- One piece with the ground
Sacré-Cœur Basilica is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Sacré-Cœur Basilica takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Sacré-Cœur Basilica
Sacré-Cœur Basilica stands on Montmartre's summit in Paris, France. A Catholic church with the title of minor basilica, it is dedicated to Jesus's Sacred Heart. Felix Fournier proposed the church in 1870 following France's defeat at Sedan during the Franco-Prussian War and the capture of Napoleon III. Montmartre was chosen for its height, its visibility across the city and its traditional link with Paris's patron saint, Saint Denis. Private contributions funded the campaign to build the church.
Paul Abadie's design combined neo-Byzantine and Romanesque architecture, winning a competition with seventy-seven entries. Building work started in 1875, but unstable foundations complicated the early stages. Workers dug eighty-three wells to a depth of thirty meters and filled them with concrete and rock to support the structure. The dome was finished in 1899, followed by the bell tower in 1912 and the completed basilica in 1914. Formal consecration came in 1919, after the First World War. Perpetual Eucharistic adoration at the basilica dates from 1885.
