About State Farm Stadium

State Farm Stadium, in Glendale, Arizona, is a stadium with a retractable roof. Glendale is a suburb west of Phoenix. The stadium is home to the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL and to the annual Fiesta Bowl. The ceremonial groundbreaking was held on April 12, 2003. After three years of building, the venue, with 63,400 seats, opened on August 1, 2006. The Cardinals had previously played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, which it replaced, and Eisenman Architects and HOK Sport designed it.

The roof is made of translucent Birdair fabric and takes 12 minutes to open. It was the first retractable roof built on an incline, and Walter P Moore handled its engineering design. Beneath it sits a roll-in natural grass field. The stadium is surrounded by a 25-acre (10 ha) area called Sportsman's Park. Within the park is a landscaped tailgating area of 8 acres (3.2 ha), the Great Lawn.

At its 2006 opening it was named Cardinals Stadium. Later that year the University of Phoenix acquired the naming rights and it became University of Phoenix Stadium, and in September 2018 it was renamed for the insurance company State Farm. The stadium has hosted three Super Bowls, in 2008, 2015 and 2023. Its seating can grow by 8,800 for the biggest events, using added risers and portable folding seats.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 950 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale

Roof panels and a wide oval
The roof is a broad oval of radial panels with narrow ridges. A larger print size keeps those seams visible, and Print friendly adapts the finest ones to the print scale.
Seating visible through the roof
Stepped seating tiers show through the roof opening. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the steps distinct, and Full detail keeps every modeled feature.
One piece with the ground
State Farm Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. State Farm Stadium takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a State Farm Stadium STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. State Farm Stadium grows with the print: about 14 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
