About Stožice Stadium

Stožice Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the Bežigrad district of Ljubljana, Slovenia, north of the city center. Sadar + Vuga architects designed it, and it is Slovenia's biggest football stadium. It forms part of the Stožice Sports Park, together with an indoor arena. Olimpija Ljubljana play there at home, as does the Slovenia national football team, for which it is the principal venue. Besides football, it is meant for cultural events too.

Its name comes from the area where it stands. Construction took 14 months, and it opened on August 11, 2010, with a friendly in which Slovenia beat Australia 2–0. The stadium lies beneath the plateau of the park and is sunk into it, so just the roof above the stands rises over the park's plane, like a monolithic crater. It includes 558 VIP seats, 97 places for spectators with disabilities, and room in the press area for 210 journalists.

For music concerts and other cultural purposes, capacity increases to over 20,000. The first cultural event, on September 20, 2010, was a joint project by the comedians Lado Bizovičar and Jurij Zrnec, and more than 20,000 people attended. The stadium was one of eight hosts for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2021, and it also staged the final, between Germany and Portugal.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 10 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 13 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 16 mm 1:2,344

Broad sloping roof
A broad sloping roof wraps the whole stadium and leaves one large opening over the pitch. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the smooth slope crisp, and a larger print shows the seating inside more clearly.
Small posts on the roof rim
Small posts stand along the roof rim. Print friendly adapts such small parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.
One piece with the ground
Stožice Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Stožice Stadium takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

Common questions

Is there a Stožice Stadium STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Stožice Stadium grows with the print: about 10 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
