Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Upturned eaves and roof ridges

The hall's roof has upturned eaves and slim ridge ends. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, best on a larger print.

  2. Ringed bell-shaped vault

The vault is a dome made of fine stepped rings. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the rings crisp, and a larger print keeps them readable.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum

The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum sits at the base of Purple Mountain's second peak, in Nanjing in China's Jiangsu province. It is the tomb of Sun Yat-sen, whom both mainland China and Taiwan consider the "Father of Modern China". Work began in January 1926, soon after Sun's death, and ended in the spring of 1929. A design competition drew over 40 proposals, and on September 20, 1925, the committee unanimously chose the one by Lü Yanzhi, the architect, who died soon after it was finished. Sun was buried there on June 1, 1929.

Built into the mountainside, the mausoleum combines traditional imperial tomb design with modern architecture. The vault lies over 700 meters (2,300 ft) from the paifang, the entrance on the square below. A stairway 480 meters (1,570 ft) long and 50 meters (160 ft) wide, with 392 stairs, leads up to it, with pine, cypress and ginkgo trees on both sides. At the top stands a triarched marble gate 16 meters (52 ft) high, inscribed with Sun's personal motto, Tian Xia Wei Gong, a phrase that means what lies under heaven is for all.

The sacrificial hall is 30 meters (98 ft) long, 25 meters (82 ft) wide and 29 meters (95 ft) high. A 4.6-meter (15 ft) statue of Sun, sculpted from Italian white marble, sits at its center. Behind the hall is the bell-shaped vault, which holds a marble false sarcophagus. Sun's body rests in a bronze coffin, in a burial chamber 5 m below it.
