10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Crenellations and galleries
The model has twin polygonal towers with crenellated crowns and deep projecting galleries. Print slowly with cooling so the thin battlements and corbels stay crisp, and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- Open gate passage
The gate is a through passage between the towers, with open pointed bays on the city side. Print friendly adapts the thin tracery and stair parapet to the model's scale.
- One piece with the ground
The Torres de Serranos is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

About the Torres de Serranos
The Torres de Serranos was one of twelve gates in Valencia's old Christian Wall. It dates from the late 14th century, with construction between 1392 and 1398, and is built in the Valencian Gothic style. The Valencian government commissioned it, and the architect Pere Balaguer drew on older Gothic gates with polygonal towers, including Morella's Porta de Sant Miquel and the Royal Gate at the Poblet Monastery.
Work started on April 6, 1392, where an older gateway had stood. The walls are solid stone, since the gate was built for defense, but they carry a limestone facing, mostly from Alginet near Valencia, intended to make the building look more luxurious and distinguished. In 1397 a monumental stone staircase was added to improve access to the main floor, and the work was completed in March 1398.
After a prison in Valencia burned down in 1586, the towers held knights and nobles until 1887, when the prisoners went to Saint Austin's monastery. The city wall was pulled down in 1865, but the towers survived; they were restored between 1893 and 1914 under the direction of the sculptor José Aixá. They are open to the public and host official city ceremonies, among them the crida that opens the Fallas.
