17 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Octagonal towers with small crowns
The tall octagonal tower and the one over the crossing have narrow windows and thin tops. Print friendly adapts these small parts; Full detail keeps them, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- A row of small domes
Small domes and a few thin pinnacles sit along the roofline. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and slow printing help keep their shapes crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Valencia Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Valencia Cathedral takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Valencia Cathedral
In Valencia, Spain, Valencia Cathedral is a Catholic church, also called St Mary's Cathedral. Pere d'Albalat, who became Valencia's first bishop after the Reconquista, consecrated it in 1238, and James I the Conqueror ordered it dedicated to Saint Mary. It stands on the site of an earlier Visigothic cathedral, which had been turned into a mosque under the Moors.
Valencian Gothic is the main style, mixed with Neoclassical, Baroque, Renaissance, French Gothic and Romanesque touches. The plan is cruciform, with north and south transepts, and an octagonal tower called the cimbori covers the crossing. Most of the building went up between the 13th and 15th centuries. In 1459, architects Francesc Baldomar and Pere Compte joined the old chapter house and the Miguelete Tower to the church, giving it a length of 94 meters (308 feet) and a width of 53.65 meters (176.0 feet).
Konrad Rudolf designed the main door, called the Iron gate, in 1703. A renewal that began in 1774 covered the Gothic structure in stucco and pseudo-classical elements, and work starting in 1972 removed the Neoclassical additions to recover the Gothic look. Spain's government declared the church a historic and artistic landmark in 1931. One of its chapels holds a purported Holy Chalice that many believe to be the true Holy Grail.
