Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Straight walls and sharp corners

The tower is a tall block with flat faces, so its corners and roofline carry the shape. A larger print keeps those edges straight, and printing slowly helps the long upper walls.

  2. Surface detail on the faces

Fine surface detail on the tower faces shrinks at model scale. Full detail keeps every modeled part; Print friendly adapts thin parts, and 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers keep edges crisp.

  3. One piece with the ground

The Tour Areva is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Tour Areva takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Tour Areva

Tour Areva is an office skyscraper in La Défense, the high-rise business district in the commune of Courbevoie, west of Paris. The global firm SOM designed it, and it was built in 1974 to a height of 178 m (584 ft). It has carried the names Tour Framatome and Tour Fiat as well.

The tower is entirely black, with dark granite cladding and darkened windows, and its plan is a perfect square prism. Its architects are said to have drawn on the black monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Stanley Kubrick film. The site was codenamed CB1 in the original master plan for La Défense.

A twin tower was planned for the site of the Tour Total but was canceled because of the 1973 oil crisis. The building has 44 floors above ground and follows the International Style. Its perfect square prism shape gives the tower four equal faces, and dark granite and darkened windows cover the exterior.

About this model

The Tour Areva is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
