55 m of the Tower of Hercules, 15 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Square shaft and ramp bands
The shaft is square, with diagonal bands marking the old spiral ramp and paired panels on its faces. Print friendly adapts the shallow panel frames; Full detail keeps the alternating blind and glazed openings.
- Lantern and pinnacle
The lantern, balcony railing, and offset pinnacle are the finest parts of the model. Print larger, use 0.12–0.16 mm layers, and slow the top with cooling to keep the mast and rails distinct.
- One piece with the ground
The Tower of Hercules is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Tower of Hercules takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Tower of Hercules
The Tower of Hercules stands in A Coruña, Galicia, in northwestern Spain, facing the Atlantic coast. No other Roman lighthouse survives complete while still serving as a navigation signal at sea. It dates from the late 1st century and occupies a peninsula roughly 2.4 km (1.5 mi) outside the city center. Before the 20th century, its name was Farum Brigantium.
Emperor Trajan oversaw its construction or rebuilding, perhaps on foundations of Phoenician design, and the plan followed the Lighthouse of Alexandria. The architect Gaius Sevius Lupus came from Aeminium, present-day Coimbra in Portugal, according to a cornerstone inscription. The first tower was broader and lower than the present one, and a spiral ramp around its core left a trace still seen on the outside.
An 18th-century restoration brought the height to 55 meters (180 ft): 34 meters (112 ft) of Roman masonry survive, and 21 meters (69 ft) were added. Spain lists it as a National Monument, and UNESCO made it a World Heritage Site on June 27, 2009. Only the Faro de Chipiona stands taller among Spanish lighthouses.
