Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Let the curved shell read

The building's curved form is the model's main shape, so a larger print does most to keep it smooth. Use 0.12–0.16 mm layers and steady cooling for a clean surface.

  2. One piece with the ground

Universum Bremen is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Universum Bremen takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Universum Bremen

A science museum in Bremen, Germany, the Universum Bremen opened its doors in September 2000 close to the University of Bremen. The exhibition spreads over more than 4,000 m2 and groups exhibits under three headings: mankind, Earth and the cosmos. Visitors can interact with most of the roughly 250 exhibits. The building is covered in 40,000 stainless steel scales and resembles a mix of whale and mussel; the Bremen architect Thomas Klumpp designed it.

The outdoor EntdeckerPark and a second building, the SchauBox, joined the site in 2007. Unlike the curved metallic original, the SchauBox is a cubic structure with a rust-red exterior; Haslob Kruse and Partner developed it, and changing exhibitions are held there. The 5,000 m2 EntdeckerPark offers hands-on exhibits, landscape elements and the 27 m-high Turm der Lüfte tower. Universum Managementges. mbH, a private company, operates the science center.
