About US Bank Stadium
In Minneapolis, Minnesota, US Bank Stadium is an enclosed venue built where the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome once stood. It opened in 2016 and is home to the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL, and it also stages early-season college baseball games for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Vikings had played in the Metrodome from 1982 until it closed in 2013, spending the 2014 and 2015 seasons at Huntington Bank Stadium, an open-air ground on the University of Minnesota campus.
The team's owners favored an outdoor stadium, but state and local governments would fund only an indoor one able to host major events such as the Super Bowl or the Final Four. HKS, the architectural firm, drew up a skylit roof, 60% of it ETFE, a clear fluorine-based plastic, with glazed entrances and giant pivoting doors to bring in as much natural light as possible. The roof spans 22,000 m² (240,000 square feet), and its slanted shape, inspired by Nordic vernacular architecture, helps the stadium endure heavy snow loads.
Seating usually accommodates 66,860 and can be expanded to 73,000. Detroit's Ford Field, opened in 2002, had been the last indoor stadium built in the NFL before it. Super Bowl LII was played here on February 4, 2018, and the Philadelphia Eagles won it. The 2019 NCAA Final Four, which Virginia won, was held here as well, and the ESPN X Games ran from July 19 to 22, 2018.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 700 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

- Dense roof and wall panels
- The roof is cut into a tight grid of panels and the walls into narrow vertical bands. Print friendly adapts these small details to your print scale; Full detail keeps them, and a larger print keeps them easier to read.
- Crisp slanted roof edges
- Long slanted roof planes meet in sharp ridges and angled corners. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keeps those edges clean.
- One piece with the ground
- US Bank Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. US Bank Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
