About Vasil Levski National Stadium
Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia honors Vasil Levski (1837–1873), a Bulgarian revolutionary and national hero. With 43,230 seats, it ranks as the second-largest stadium in Bulgaria. It stands in the center of Sofia, inside Borisova gradina, the city's oldest and best-known park. The stadium officially opened in 1953, and 42,000 was the capacity announced at the time.
The Bulgaria national football team plays its home matches here, and the venue also stages the Bulgarian Cup finals and athletics competitions. It served as Levski Sofia's home for Champions League games, and it often hosts important derbies between Sofia's big clubs in place of their own stadiums. Halls inside cover judo, table tennis, fencing, aerobics, boxing, basketball and gymnastics, and there are two conference halls and three restaurants. The 1957 European basketball championship took place here.
An extension came in 1966 and a renovation in 2002. At first, only the lower tier was built, about half the height of the finished stands, and since the ground is uneven, the pitch and stands at the western end sat below ground level. The upper tier followed about a decade later. On July 24, 1990, Yugoslav star Lepa Brena gave the biggest concert in Bulgaria, in front of 120,000 people.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 20 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 25 mm | 1:3,000 |

- Four slender floodlight towers
- Four tall, thin towers rise above the stands. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps them on a larger print. Print slowly with good cooling.
- Stepped stands and a roofed side
- One side has a roof over its stand, while the other stands are open stepped terraces. Layer heights of 0.12–0.16 mm keep the tier edges crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- Vasil Levski National Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Vasil Levski National Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
