Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Lobed wave skin

The street facade is a row of nine bulging lobes that roll over into the roof. Print friendly adapts the narrow slots between them; a larger print keeps the scale-like steps distinct.

  2. Cantilever roof edge

The roof cantilevers over the seating with a deep, open truss along its front edge. 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers help the edge lattice read, and printing slowly helps the long thin overhang.

  3. One piece with the ground

Balaídos Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Balaídos Stadium takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Balaídos Stadium

The ground sits in the city of Vigo, Spain. Balaídos is an all-seater stadium, owned by the local council and hosting Celta Vigo of La Liga. It dates from 1928 and holds 24,870 spectators. Jenaro de la Fuente was its architect, and a sponsorship deal gives it the name Estadio Abanca Balaídos.

Local businessmen bought the 75,000 m2 site in September 1924 and began by moving the Lagares river to a new course. Two years later they founded the Stadium de Balaídos company to carry out the construction. The stadium was inaugurated on December 30, 1928, and the first match was between Celta Vigo and Real Unión; Celta won 7–0, with Graciliano scoring the first goal.

A major renovation came before the 1982 FIFA World Cup, when the Rio stand was rebuilt, the Gol end added, and the Tribuna and Marcador stands renovated, and the ground hosted three group matches. A later reconstruction from 2015 divided the work into four phases by stand; the Tribuna was brought three meters nearer the pitch, gained new changing rooms and boxes, and the Tribuna and Rio received new roofs by 2018. The Marcador was rebuilt by 2023 with room for 6,209 spectators.

About this model
