9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- A roof ring over the stands
A thin ring of roof structure runs around the bowl, with truss lines on the long sides. Print friendly adapts these thin parts to the print scale, while Full detail keeps them on a larger print.
- Fine columns around the outside
Many thin vertical columns line the outer wall of a low, wide bowl. A bigger print size keeps more of them, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep the fine lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
Darius and Girėnas Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Darius and Girėnas Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Darius and Girėnas Stadium
Darius and Girėnas Stadium, a multi-use venue in Kaunas, Lithuania, stands in Ąžuolynas park, in the Žaliakalnis district. Its seating capacity of 15,026 makes it the biggest stadium in Lithuania, as well as in the Baltic states. It is used for football, athletics and other events, and the football club FK Kauno Žalgiris uses it as its home ground.
Steponas Darius and Kęstutis Bulota designed and established the first stadium on the site in 1923, and it was completed in 1925. A reconstruction that began in 1969 lasted 10 years, until August 1979, and replaced the wooden tribunes with reinforced concrete structures arranged in a half circle. In 1993, after Lithuania regained independence, the stadium was named after Stasys Girėnas and Steponas Darius, Lithuanian pilots who died in a crash close to the end of their attempted nonstop flight from New York to Lithuania. On November 23, 2021, the shorter form, Darius and Girėnas Stadium, became the official name.
A major renovation ran from 2018 to 2022. The stadium reopened on October 16, 2022, with the final of the 2022 Lithuanian Football Cup. The reconstruction cost 43 million euros, and a roof covers the stands completely. The same sport center also includes the Kaunas Sports Hall nearby, which dates from 1939. The first Lithuanian Athletics Championships was held in 1921 at the place where the stadium was later built, and the European Athletics U23 Championships of 2009 took place there.
