16 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Arched roof trusses
Two lattice arches rise clear of the roof along the long sides, with thin chords and diagonals. Print bigger, or use Full detail, so the arches read as bows rather than as rails.
- Roof sweeping to low ends
The roof runs unbroken over all four stands, dipping at the open corners and sweeping down to low podiums at both ends. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep that eave line clean.
- One piece with the ground
Falmer Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Falmer Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Falmer Stadium
Falmer Stadium is usually called the Amex, and its sponsorship name is American Express Stadium. The football ground stands in Brighton and Hove, in East Sussex, England, and its 32,500 places make it second among the stadiums of South East England and 30th in the United Kingdom. Brighton & Hove Albion of the Premier League plays its home games there.
The club lost its old ground, the Goldstone Ground, when the former board sold it to developers in 1995; no replacement had been arranged. Work on the Falmer site ran from December 17, 2008, to May 2011. The London architects KSS designed a stadium sunk three stories into the ground, and 138,000 cubic meters of chalk, dug out during construction and put on a field south of Village Way, were estimated to save 22,000 truck trips to landfill.
The club took the finished stadium over on May 31, 2011, and the first competitive match, a Sussex Senior Cup final, was played on July 16, 2011. The design allows other sports and events: the ground staged matches at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and matches in the UEFA Women's Euro 2022 as well, and Brighton played its first European football there on September 21, 2023, against AEK in a UEFA Europa League fixture.
About this model
Falmer Stadium is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
