9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Canopy on slender posts
A long entrance canopy runs along one side of the drum on thin posts, under a deep fascia. Full detail keeps the posts and fascia crisp on a larger print; at small sizes Print friendly adapts them.
- Lean of the drum walls
The cladding leans outward as it climbs to the overhanging parapet, with ribbon windows set into shallow recesses. Layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm help those bands and the parapet edge read.
- One piece with the ground
Malmö Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Malmö Arena takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Malmö Arena
Malmö Arena, an indoor hall for many kinds of events in Malmö, Sweden, is home to the Malmö Redhawks: the ice hockey club is the only regular tenant, playing in the Swedish Hockey League, of which the arena is the largest venue. Among Sweden's indoor arenas it comes second, after the Avicii Arena in Stockholm. Its architects were Gert Wingårdh of Wingårdh arkitektkontor, Hannu Helkiö of Pöyry Architects and Mats Matson of MM Matsson Konsult. Parkfast AB owns and operates the arena and was the main contractor for the building.
For sport the hall seats 12,600; set up for concerts it holds 15,500. The concert attendance record of 11,300 was set by a Lady Gaga show on November 19, 2010, and the ice hockey record of 13,247 dates from November 12, 2008, when the Redhawks played Leksands IF. Work on the site began on January 10, 2007, and the inauguration came on November 6, 2008, at a final construction cost of 750 million SEK, 100 million over the budget.
Handball, floorball, concerts and indoor athletics have all had a place there. The World Junior Ice Hockey Championships of 2014 ran in the hall from December 26, 2013 to January 5, 2014, and the Eurovision Song Contest was staged there in May 2013 and again in May 2024. Hyllie railway station lies about 80 m (260 ft) from the doors, and trains and buses run from there to Copenhagen Airport, Copenhagen Central Station and Malmö Central Station.
About this model
Malmö Arena is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
