11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 750 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Corner trunks and branches
Four round concrete drums stand at the corners, with steel branches spreading from their crowns over the stands. These slim arms are the finest parts: use Full detail and a large print.
- One roofed stand
Only the western stand carries a roof, with its long Warren truss standing above the front edge, while the other three stands are open. Print friendly simplifies the truss at small sizes.
- One piece with the ground
Peter Mokaba Stadium is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Peter Mokaba Stadium takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Peter Mokaba Stadium
Peter Mokaba Stadium, a ground for football and rugby union, is in Polokwane, formerly Pietersburg, in South Africa, and it was a venue at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, where its 45,500 capacity was reduced to 41,733. The name honors Peter Mokaba, once a leader of the ANC Youth League. The ground stands just east of its older namesake, 3 kilometers out from the central business district.
It is one of five grounds that were built for the 2010 World Cup; the plan to upgrade the old stadium was dropped in favor of a new build. The design once had roofs on every stand, but money and construction constraints meant only the western stand got full coverage, and the rest has little overhead protection. The field's natural grass carries artificial fibers, which hold it level and stable as Desso GrassMaster.
The tournament brought four group matches to Polokwane. Before it, the stadium opened with the Peter Mokaba Cup on January 23, 2010, a four-team friendly event won by Kaizer Chiefs. South Africa met Guatemala on May 31, 2010 for the first international there and won 5-0, and the first competitive match, a Telkom Knockout semi-final, followed on November 20, 2010.
