11 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Open corners and roof trusses
Four separate curved canopies leave open gaps at the corners, and exposed lattice trusses run under their inner edges. Print friendly adapts the thin truss members; a larger print keeps the open steelwork readable.
- Floodlight poles and moat
Four tall corner light poles stand around a pitch with a moat. Layers of 0.12–0.16 mm and slower printing help the slender poles and the stand edges stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Stadion Galgenwaard is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Stadion Galgenwaard takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Stadion Galgenwaard
Stadion Galgenwaard is a football ground in Utrecht in the Netherlands, and FC Utrecht has played its home games there since 1970. Renovation began at the start of the 21st century, and the ground seats 23,750 spectators. An extensive facelift in 1982 brought a reopening, and at the time the moat around the pitch helped make it one of the world's most modern stadiums.
After twenty years, the club expanded and renewed the ground. The club shifted its main stand to the north end for the opening of the 2001–2002 season. After that, the club rebuilt its old main stand, and within a year two new stands stood on each side of the pitch.
Seven Netherlands internationals have taken place at the ground. The first, a friendly against Sweden on April 27, 1983, ended 3–0 to the visitors. Two World Cup finals have also been staged there: the 1998 field hockey final, which the Netherlands won 3–2 against Spain, and the 2005 Football World Youth Championship final, where Argentina beat Nigeria 2–1. The ground hosted four group-stage matches at the 2017 UEFA Women's Euro, and Prince gave four sold-out concerts there in June 1987.
