6 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Arches and club letters
The street side is a row of round-arched bays with the club crest and letters in relief, all small at this scale. Print bigger, or choose Full detail, so they read.
- The girder above the roof
A flat lattice girder rides above the roof front on two end posts, with open triangles through it. Slow the print and use 0.12 to 0.16 mm layers so the chords and diagonals stay whole.
- One piece with the ground
Vicarage Road is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Vicarage Road takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Vicarage Road
Vicarage Road is the football ground in Watford, England, where the Championship club Watford plays. It is an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 22,200. The club left Cassio Road in 1922 and has stayed here ever since. The ground was officially opened for Millwall's visit on August 30, 1922, with Col. Charles Healey of Benskins Brewery doing the honors.
Each stand has its own history. The Rookery Stand, the home end, was built over the 1994–95 season and holds 6,960 people. The Graham Taylor Stand runs along the west side under its distinctive wavy roof and was built in 1986, when it replaced the Shrodells Stand; it took Graham Taylor's name for the 2014–15 season. The Sir Elton John Stand on the east side, with the changing rooms and tunnel, opened on December 13, 2014.
The ground has had other users: Wealdstone played there between 1991 and 1993, and the rugby union side Saracens shared it from 1997 until its move to Copthall Stadium in February 2013. Greyhound racing began at Vicarage Road on October 20, 1928. Watford bought the freehold in January 2002, sold and leased it back later that year, and repurchased it in September 2004 after a fans' campaign called “Let's Buy Back The Vic”, to which Elton John gave the proceeds of a concert at the venue.
About this model
Vicarage Road is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
