62 m of the Alcalá de Henares Cathedral, 16 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Cathedral at print scale
A larger print keeps the cathedral's proportions and roof line legible; 0.12–0.16 mm layers help the long vertical edges stay crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Alcalá de Henares Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Alcalá de Henares Cathedral takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Alcalá de Henares Cathedral
Dedicated to Saints Justus and Pastor, the Magistral Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. Its title of Magistral is shared with only one other church, Saint Peter's of Leuven, Belgium. The title comes from the requirement that the cathedral's canons be doctors of Theology. The tomb of Gregorio Fernández, the 17th-century Spanish sculptor, is in the cathedral as well.
A chapel was built in 414 where Justus and Pastor were martyred, and later became a cathedral under Visigoth rule. In 1053 the old city was conquered by Ferdinand the Great, then recaptured the next year by Moorish armies, who destroyed the cathedral. The relics of the two saints were taken to Huesca for safekeeping. In 1122 a church was rebuilt there; some three centuries later Archbishop Alfonso Carrillo de Acuña rebuilt it again and elevated it to a collegiate church. In Cardinal Cisneros's time, the present building was designed and built from 1497 to 1516 in the late Gothic style, and between 1528 and 1582 a tower followed.
During the Spanish Civil War the building burned and lost practically all of its contents; it had received national monument status in 1904. The Diocese of Alcalá was restored in 1991, and the building received its present status as cathedral-magistral. Its simple exterior includes a Flamboyant Gothic west facade and a Herrerian-style tower that reaches 62.05 meters and ends in a slate spire.
