About Allianz Field
Allianz Field, a stadium built specifically for soccer, stands in Saint Paul, Minnesota, within the Midway neighborhood, close to Interstate 94 and Snelling Avenue. The MLS club Minnesota United FC calls it home. Its 2019 opening came in the club's third season, and the capacity is 19,400. On October 23, 2015, the team's owners announced the stadium would go on a bus barn site in Saint Paul covering 14 ha (35 acres). It was privately financed, at a cost of $200 million. Work wrapped up in February 2019, with the stadium opening on April 13, 2019, when Minnesota United FC hosted New York City FC.
Populous designed the ring-shaped stadium around deliberate sightlines and an "intimate atmosphere". The oval exterior is a glass-like polymer mesh, giving the facade a sleek look, and PTFE cladding covers the steel structure supporting the roof. Color-changing LEDs light up the mesh, as at Allianz Arena in Munich and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Behind the south-end goal, the Wonderwall safe-standing terrace holds 2,920 supporters and takes its name from the club's unofficial anthem. Its look recalls Bespin's floating city from the Star Wars universe, earning it the nickname "Cloud City."
Metro Transit used the southern half of the site as a bus barn until its demolition in 2002. Before that, the property was the Snelling Shops, where the Twin City Rapid Transit Company had its streetcars built and maintained. A ceremonial groundbreaking took place on December 12, 2016. Major construction began in June 2017, steel erection in November 2017, and the work ended on February 27, 2019, following 20 months of work.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 8 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 10 mm | 1:3,000 |

- A wide, thin oval roof
- The roof sweeps out over the seating bowl as a thin oval ring. Print friendly adapts thin overhangs to the print scale; a larger print size keeps the ring sturdy.
- Fine ring lines on the roof
- Many fine lines circle the roof and exterior. Full detail keeps them on a larger print, ideally with 0.12–0.16 mm layers.
- One piece with the ground
- Allianz Field is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Allianz Field takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Allianz Field is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an Allianz Field STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Allianz Field grows with the print: about 8 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
