About Arena Națională
In Bucharest, Romania, Arena Națională (the National Arena) is a football stadium with a retractable roof. The earlier National Stadium on the same site was torn down from 2007 to 2008, and the new arena opened in 2011. At 55,634 seats, no stadium in Romania is larger, and the arena hosts home matches of the Romania national team.
Gerkan, Marg and Partners designed the stadium, and the firms Max Bögl and Astaldi built it. The roof covers the playing surface and takes 15 minutes to open or close. The decision to add the roof, worth €20,000,000, was made on October 8, 2009. The stadium was inaugurated on September 6, 2011, with a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier in which Romania and France drew 0–0 in front of 49,137 fans.
Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao met at the arena in the 2012 UEFA Europa League final. The arena also hosted four games at UEFA Euro 2020. One of them was a Round of 16 match in which France and Switzerland drew 3–3 and Switzerland won 5–4 on penalties. In October 2021 it hosted The International 2021, the Dota 2 world championship. Concerts there have featured Ed Sheeran, Depeche Mode, Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
How it prints
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
| Print size | Landmark height | Scale |
|---|---|---|
| 160 mm default | 16 mm | 1:3,750 |
| 200 mm | 21 mm | 1:3,000 |
| 256 mm | 26 mm | 1:2,344 |

- A ring of slim columns
- The outer wall is a dense ring of thin vertical columns. Print friendly adapts them to the print scale; Full detail keeps every column, which suits a larger print or a fine nozzle.
- Thin radial roof ribs
- The roof is a ring of fine ribs that fan out around the central opening. A bigger print size keeps them distinct, and layers of 0.12 to 0.16 mm keep their edges crisp.
- One piece with the ground
- Arena Națională is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
- In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
- Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Arena Națională takes the building color.
- File format
- You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About this model
Arena Națională is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
Common questions
Is there an Arena Națională STL I can download?
Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How big can I print it?
Any print size from 40 mm across. Arena Națională grows with the print: about 16 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
Is it free?
Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
