About Ariake Arena

Ariake Arena is a venue for sports and concerts in Ariake, Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan. It was the volleyball venue of the 2020 Summer Olympics, and the 2020 Summer Paralympics held the knockout stage of wheelchair basketball there. The arena replaced Differ Ariake, which was shut and torn down in June 2018.

It was one of six permanent facilities planned for Ariake ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Construction began in January 2017 and ended in December 2019. The project cost around 35 billion yen, or about US$320 million. The arena holds 12,000 spectators, a number that temporary seating can raise to a maximum of 15,000.

After the Games, the arena opened to the public on August 20, 2022, with a Perfume concert that was part of the group's Plasma Tour. The first sports event came on October 9, 2022, a B3 League game between Tokyo United and Saitama Broncos. Pro wrestling has been held there too, starting with the Historic X-Over event on November 20, 2022, the first pro wrestling event at the venue.

How it prints

Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

Landmark height and scale at three print sizes
Print size Landmark height Scale
160 mm default 10 mm 1:3,750
200 mm 13 mm 1:3,000
256 mm 16 mm 1:2,344

A sweeping, overhanging roof
The curved roof flares out over the walls with thin, upswept edges. Print friendly adapts thin edges to the print scale; Full detail keeps the full sweep, which suits a larger print.
Fine bands and a small-roof annex
Many fine horizontal bands wrap the walls, and a low wing is covered in small roof panels. A layer height of 0.12 to 0.16 mm and a bigger print size keep these crisp.
One piece with the ground
Ariake Arena is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Ariake Arena takes the building color.
File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About this model

Ariake Arena is one of more than 2,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.

Common questions

Is there an Ariake Arena STL I can download?

Mini Skyline builds the file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.

How big can I print it?

Any print size from 40 mm across. Ariake Arena grows with the print: about 10 mm tall on the default 160 mm print. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.

Is it free?

Yes. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
