Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. A tall, thin antenna mast

The slender mast above the round head is the most fragile part of the model. Print slowly with good cooling, and use a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height to keep it crisp.

  2. Thin decks around the shaft

Three thin rings circle the shaft below the head. "Print friendly" thickens thin parts for the print scale; a larger print or "Full detail" keeps them as modeled.

  3. One piece with the ground

Baghdad Tower is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  4. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  5. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Baghdad Tower takes the building color.

  6. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Baghdad Tower

Baghdad Tower, also known as Al-Ma'mun, is a 204 m (669 ft) television tower in Baghdad, Iraq, in the Yarmouk neighborhood to the west. It opened in 1994 and took the place of a communications tower that had been destroyed in the Gulf War. The top floor holds a revolving restaurant and an observation deck. The tower was earlier called International Saddam Tower.

Construction began in 1991, beside the al-Ma'mun Telecom Exchange. The tower was built 204 meters high, with a revolving restaurant at the top and the words "Allah is the Greatest" above it. Its center has seven floors in a modern architectural style, and the site also became the main international gateway for sending and receiving communications in Baghdad.

One week after the US-led invasion began, on March 27, 2003, the al-Ma'mun Telecom Exchange was destroyed by bombs and the tower was damaged, after which it was abandoned. After the 2003 invasion of Iraq, American soldiers occupied the tower, and it was renamed Baghdad Tower.
