10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Low, wide complex
The mosque reads as a low, wide complex. At the default print size, Print friendly adapts the small parts; printing larger keeps the edges crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Baitul Futuh Mosque is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Baitul Futuh Mosque takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Baitul Futuh Mosque
The Baitul Futuh means House of Victories. It is a mosque complex belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Morden, in southwest London, and ranks among Europe's largest mosque complexes. Finished in 2003 for £15 million, raised entirely from donations by Ahmadi Muslims, it can hold 13,000 worshippers, and the main mosque rises 23 meters above ground; to maximize capacity, the building also extends below ground. The site lies next to Morden South railway station, with the Morden Underground station 0.4 miles away.
The complex serves as the community's central base and is known for local service work, including feeding homeless people and efforts at community cohesion. Its design sets out to join traditional Islamic forms with modern British architecture. The land, previously an Express Dairies depot, was bought in 1996, and the foundation stone was placed in 1999.
