9 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Roofline and wall edges
A larger print helps the roofline and the wall edges read; 0.12–0.16 mm layers keep them crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Bavarian State Library is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Bavarian State Library takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Bavarian State Library
The Bavarian State Library, or Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, is Bavaria's central state library. It stands in Munich and is the largest universal and research library in Germany; it also ranks among Europe's most important universal libraries. Its holdings number around 39.4 million media units, and only the British Library holds more journals in Europe.
Its historical holdings include one of the world's most important manuscript collections and the largest collection of incunabula anywhere. Printed works from before 1850 add almost one million units. A legal deposit rule in force since 1663 requires that two copies of each printed work issued in Bavaria be sent to the library. Its building stands on the Ludwigstrasse.
The library belongs to Germany's virtual national library, alongside the Berlin State Library and the German National Library. It runs the Munich Digitization Center and handles the German Research Foundation's special subject collections. Its reading rooms serve around 4,000 readers each day, and the general reading room keeps approximately 111,000 volumes, mainly reference works, on open access.
About this model
The Bavarian State Library is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
