Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Wide, low palace

This is a wide, low palace, so the wings and roofline sit close to the ground and lose definition at the default size. Print larger or use Full detail, and slice at 0.12–0.16 mm.

  2. One piece with the ground

Benrath Palace is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Benrath Palace takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About Benrath Palace

Benrath Palace is a pleasure palace in the Baroque style, a maison de plaisance, in Benrath, now a borough of Düsseldorf. Charles Theodor, Elector Palatine, and Elisabeth Auguste of Sulzbach, his wife, commissioned it; Nicolas de Pigage, their director of gardens and buildings, directed the work. Work started in 1755 and finished in 1770.

The main block, the corps de logis, has two symmetrical arched wings called maisons de cavalière, which originally housed servants. The wings partly enclose a circular pond, the Schlossweiher, on the north side, while a long rectangular pond, the Spiegelweiher, lies to the south. Of the earlier castle, only one servant wing survives, the Alte Orangerie, or Old Orangery.

The main building is a museum with guided tours, and music concerts are sometimes held there. Since 2002 the two wings have housed two museums: the east wing holds the Museum for European Garden Art, and the west wing the Museum of Natural History. The palace stands in a square hunting park in the Baroque manner, with a circular alley and two diagonal paths that cross it.
