24 m of BMW Welt, 8 mm on your shelf
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Wide footprint
The building covers a wide footprint, so print size decides how much of the outline reads. A larger print keeps the edges legible, and 0.12–0.16 mm layers keep the walls crisp.
- One piece with the ground
BMW Welt is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. BMW Welt takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About BMW Welt
BMW Welt combines an exhibition hall, a delivery center, a museum and an event venue in Munich's Am Riesenfeld district, beside the Olympic Park and close to the BMW Headquarters and factory. Work ran from August 2003 to summer 2007, and the doors opened on October 17, 2007. An 800 kW solar system sits on the main building's roof.
A design competition in 2001 attracted international entries, and the contract went to COOP HIMMELB(L)AU, a practice based in Vienna. Twenty-seven offices entered, and four received prizes. Construction cost US$200 million; the original plan called for opening in time for the 2006 World Cup. Its operations are coordinated with the BMW Museum and BMW Headquarters.
A showroom holds BMW cars and motorcycles plus Mini and Rolls-Royce models, alongside shops and a restaurant. Buyers collecting a special-order car wait in a big glass-walled hall while a round elevator platform raises the vehicle from below. Deliveries began on October 23, 2007. The project archive sits at Montreal's Canadian Centre for Architecture.
About this model
BMW Welt is one of more than 4,400 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
