3 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Preserve the porch posts
Slender posts frame the covered entrance beneath the projecting roof. Choose Print friendly for a small print; a larger print with Full detail can retain more of the porch structure.
- Show the layered roofs
The broad roof surfaces carry closely spaced lines and small chimneys. Print larger and use 0.12–0.16 mm layers to keep the roof texture and chimney shapes distinct.
- One piece with the ground
Bright Angel Lodge is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. Bright Angel Lodge takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About Bright Angel Lodge
At the Grand Canyon's South Rim, Bright Angel Lodge provides hotel accommodation within Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park. Mary Jane Colter designed its central lodge and surrounding cabins at the canyon edge. Accommodation on the site began in 1896 with James Thurber's small hotel. By the 1930s, the railway company that owned the operation commissioned Colter to replace it. She retained the O'Neill and Red Horse cabins and created rustic cabins using logs and local stone, completed in 1935.
The main lodge has a gently pitched gable roof, with an extended roof over the entrance forming a porch on peeled log posts. Shed roofs give the building a layered profile. Inside, logs, adobe, and local limestone appear in the finishes. Its fireplace arranges stone to reproduce the canyon's geological layers along the Bright Angel Trail in sequence from bottom to top. Fred Kabotie's murals decorate the cocktail lounge. The lodge and cabins contribute to Grand Canyon Village's National Historic Landmark District.
About this model
Bright Angel Lodge is one of more than 4,300 landmark models in Mini Skyline. They are made with AI, and each one is checked from four sides in its real surroundings before release. Everything around it is built from OpenStreetMap and Overture map data. If you would rather print the shape from map data, turn off Landmark models in the Buildings settings.
