  1. Fine detail on a Gothic church

Gothic churches tend to have small, closely spaced details. Choose Full detail with a larger print or a fine nozzle to keep them, or Print friendly to simplify thin parts for a smaller print.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Church of Our Lady of the Snows (Prague) is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of Our Lady of the Snows (Prague) takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Church of Our Lady of the Snows (Prague)

Our Lady of the Snows is a Catholic church in Prague, close to Jungmann Square. The Carmelite order founded it, along with a monastery, in 1347, when Emperor Charles IV and Blanche of Valois, his wife, were crowned. The Carmelites could not own land, and Emperor Charles donated a large plot to the order, and citizens of Prague also contributed. Money problems kept slowing construction. In the 15th century, the Hussite Wars halted building and badly damaged the church. Franciscans run the church.

The church was planned on a far larger scale than what exists. Research from the 1980s suggests it was meant to run about 110 meters, which would have made it Prague's second largest church, behind St. Vitus Cathedral. It was never finished. Only the presbytery was built to plan, with two small aisles and a large bell-tower at the west end of the northern aisle. That tower was badly damaged in the Hussite Wars and collapsed in 1683. The vault of the presbytery, at 34 meters (112 ft), is among the highest in Prague.

Over the centuries the church was altered, mainly in the Renaissance and Baroque periods and largely during the later part of the 17th century. Its early Baroque columned altar stands 29 meters high; an unknown artist made it between 1649 and 1651. In 1611 a Lutheran mob from Prague attacked and looted the monastery and killed the community of fourteen friars, who became known as the Martyrs of Prague. Pope Benedict XVI beatified them in 2012.
