10 mm tall on a 160 mm print
Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.
- Compact church, crisp facade
The model is a compact city church. At small sizes, Print friendly adapts the facade and roofline details; a larger print or 0.12 mm layers keep the vertical lines crisp.
- One piece with the ground
The Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.
- Pick the detail for your nozzle
In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.
- Colors
Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral takes the building color.
- File format
You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.
About the Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral
The Saints Cyril and Methodius Cathedral stands in Nové Město, Prague, and serves as the main Czech and Slovak Orthodox church. It began as the Karel Boromejsky Church, built to a design by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer from 1730 to 1736, and it received its present dedication as an Orthodox church in 1935.
The cathedral was the scene, in 1942, of a last stand by Czech and Slovak agents trained by SOE and involved in the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. Waffen-SS forces stormed the church on June 18, 1942. Two Czechoslovaks died, and the others took their own lives rather than be captured. A museum in the crypt commemorates them as national heroes.
A church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul occupied the site from 1115, with the Zderazsky monastery of the Knights of the Cross around it. During the Hussite Wars that church was largely destroyed, leaving only part of the choir. A retirement home for priests followed in 1705, and the present church was built in the 1730s.
