Make this print opens the generator on a 600 m square around the landmark. Buildings print at close to true scale, so the landmark grows with the print size.

  1. Smooth curves, fine detail

A layer height of 0.12–0.16 mm in the slicer keeps curved roofs and fine vertical detail smooth, and a larger print size keeps small details.

  2. One piece with the ground

The Church of the Madonna della Difesa is joined to the ground in the exported file, and the four-side check found no floating parts, so nothing needs gluing.

  3. Pick the detail for your nozzle

In the Buildings settings, set Landmark detail to Print friendly to adapt thin parts and small details to the print scale. Full detail keeps every modeled feature, for larger prints or a finer nozzle.

  4. Colors

Buildings, roads, water and ground arrive as separate filament slots in the 3MF. The Church of the Madonna della Difesa takes the building color.

  5. File format

You get a 3MF for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or PrusaSlicer. Any of them can save it as STL if you need one.

About the Church of the Madonna della Difesa

Madonna della Difesa is a Catholic church in the Little Italy neighborhood of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Italian immigrants to Montreal, particularly settlers from Molise, built the church to mark the apparition of the Madonna at La Difesa in Casacalenda, Molise. Roch Montbriant and the Italo-Canadian artist Guido Nincheri designed it. Romanesque in style, it follows a Greek-cross plan, and it was inaugurated in 1919.

Its large cupola and brick façade are what it is famous for, together with the frescos of Guido Nincheri, called “the Michelangelo of Montreal.” One well-known fresco, painted before World War II, shows Benito Mussolini on horseback, recalling when he signed the Lateran Accords. A statue outside the church honors “victims of all wars.”

Canada designated the church a National Historic Site in 2002. It stands at 6800 Henri-Julien Avenue, on the corner with Dante Street, in Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie borough, where it serves Canada's oldest Italian community. Jean-Talon and Beaubien are the metro stations given for reaching it.
