About Montreal
Montreal is the biggest city in the province of Quebec and the second biggest in Canada, with 1,762,949 residents at the 2021 census. It occupies the Island of Montreal and a number of smaller islands around it, the largest being Île Bizard, and lies 196 kilometers (122 mi) east of Ottawa and 258 kilometers (160 mi) southwest of Quebec City. The settlement dates to 1642, when it was called Ville-Marie, meaning "City of Mary," and the city takes its name from Mount Royal, a triple-peaked mountain that the early settlement grew around. The city's official language is French.
Montreal was Canada's industrial and financial center for more than a century and a half, and the refineries, mills, warehouses, elevators, and factories it left behind are found especially downtown and in the Old Port area. Montreal has more National Historic Sites of Canada than any other city, 50 in all. Most of its earliest buildings, marked by French influence and gray stone, cluster in Old Montreal, including the Sulpician Seminary, dating to 1687, and Château Ramezay, built in 1705. Pavilions for Expo 67 brought a wide range of designs, among them Moshe Safdie's Habitat 67 apartment complex, and the Underground City has 32 km (20 mi) of tunnels.

Common questions
Are these Montreal landmark models free?
Yes. All 3 models on this page are free. Generation runs in your browser, with no account and nothing behind a paywall.
Can I download Montreal landmark STL files?
Mini Skyline builds each file for you in your browser and exports 3MF, which every major slicer opens. If you need an STL, open the 3MF in your slicer and export it from there.
How tall do the Montreal landmarks print?
On the default 160 mm print they stand between about 10 and 41 mm tall. Each landmark grows with the print size, and Make this print opens the generator with its area already selected. For a model larger than your printer bed, Project Mode splits the area into tiles.
